Biman suspends Riyadh and Dammam flights until 17 October

Biman has suspended Dhaka services to Riyadh and Dammam until 17 October amid security concerns at Saudi airports. It has suggested Jeddah and Madinah for urgent travel and will announce revised schedules later. Passengers should contact its sales centres about their bookings.

From 14 October 2026 — Daily Brief

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended its Dhaka–Riyadh and Dhaka–Dammam services until 17 October, citing passenger safety concerns following attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia.

The airline announced the decision on 13 October and said the suspension period follows Bangladesh’s date and time. Further decisions and revised flight schedules will be announced as the security situation develops.

For passengers who need to travel urgently, Biman identified Jeddah and Madinah international airports as possible entry and departure points. Travellers were directed to its sales centres for ticketing information and arrangements relevant to their bookings.

The announcement widens the disruption facing Bangladesh–Saudi travellers. US-Bangla had already suspended its own Dhaka–Riyadh services until 21 October, while other international carriers have also altered Saudi schedules.

Biman’s notice does not promise that the suspended routes will resume immediately after 17 October. Customers whose travel dates fall within the interruption will need confirmation of their individual arrangements before setting out for the airport.
