At least 56 candidates recommended for Bangladesh’s 45th civil service recruitment process say they have not been included in the appointment gazette and have not received clear explanations.

The Public Service Commission recommended 1,807 candidates in November 2025, while the appointment gazette issued this week contained 1,702 names, according to a report on 16 October. Some of the difference reflects a withdrawn recommendation and people who did not complete medical examinations.

The remaining candidates are seeking explanations from the authorities. Their suspicions about political considerations have not been established as findings of the recruitment authorities.
