The health directorate recorded four child deaths in the 24 hours ending at 8am on 2 October: one confirmed measles death and three deaths involving measles-like symptoms.

Since 15 March, the combined reported toll is 1,114, comprising 102 confirmed deaths and 1,012 suspected deaths. The distinction matters: the combined figure should not be described as 1,114 laboratory-confirmed measles deaths.

The latest bulletin also records 1,221 suspected cases and 21 confirmed infections. TBS, Dhaka Tribune and BSS report the same DGHS update; their coverage does not provide separate clinical verification of each case.
