The three-day exhibition at Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc runs through 23 October. Ambassador Masudur Rahman opened the country’s pavilion on Wednesday morning, according to an announcement about the event.

Exhibitors are showing woven and knitted fabrics, readymade garments, home textiles, yarn and fashion accessories. The EPB also has a stall offering publications and information about Bangladesh’s export sectors. The fair’s organisers list more than 300 exhibitors from 12 countries.

The programme includes a seminar led by fashion consultancy Peclers Paris on using artificial intelligence to understand trends. Meetings with wholesalers, designers and retail buyers are intended to help suppliers find commercial partners and understand demand.
