Parliament has formed a 10-member committee to review the proposed e-Parliament project and recommend how it should be implemented.

Deputy Speaker Kayser Kamal will lead the committee, established on the instructions of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad on 15 October.

The panel will examine the development project proposal prepared with support from the United Nations Development Programme. Its work includes considering the proposal and making recommendations on implementation.

The committee may bring in additional members when needed.

The initiative concerns the digital modernisation of parliamentary work. The announcement establishes a review process; it does not set a date for the system to begin operating.
