Argentina announces citizenship-by-investment programme

Argentina announced a citizenship-by-investment programme on 2 October, AFP reported on 3 October 2026. The government outlined a US$350,000 non-refundable contribution route and an alternative involving an US$800,000 government bond.

Authorities said applications would undergo checks on funding sources, money laundering and national security. The programme is intended for implementation later this year; the announcement is not evidence that applications are already open.
