Ukraine prioritises higher-risk officials in asset-declaration checks

Ukraine has changed how officials’ asset declarations are selected for full verification, according to a 3 October 2026 Anti-Corruption Portal report and the country’s prevention agency.
The rules took effect on 2 October. Senior officials and higher-risk sectors receive priority, with taxation, customs, energy and public procurement identified for focused checks through May 2027. The reform concerns selecting declarations for scrutiny, rather than establishing misconduct by any individual.
