Russia warns foreign diplomats to leave Kyiv amid strike threats

Russia’s foreign ministry renewed its warning for foreign diplomats and nationals to leave Kyiv on 3 October 2026, saying further large strikes would follow, AFP reported.

Kyiv’s mayor had described attacks on bridges and energy infrastructure the previous day. Ukraine’s president accused Russia of attacking civilian areas, while the Kremlin rejected that accusation. The warning raises concerns for people remaining in the Ukrainian capital.
